On June 16, 2012 you are invited to attend the opening night for Seattle Soul Sessions sponsored by Empathy Records. In honor of June being Black Music Month, each Seattle Soul Session artist will pay tribute to legendary artists that have influenced their careers. Performing will be J.Charles (Honoring Musiq Soulchild)Tiffany Wilson (Honoring Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin & Chaka Khan) and Zach Bruce (Honoring R.Kelly)

WHAT IS EMPATHY RECORDS?
While artists of other genres of music have garnished national attention from the Seattle area, the one genre where the talent is great but the awareness is scarce, is R&B/Soul music. Empathy Records was started to change just that. Empathy Records was founded in 2011 by Erika Washington, Mark Shimomura, Mike Clark, KaSheen Brown-Chapman and Denise Ransom.
Empathy’s vision is redefining soul music in Seattle, to utilize voices and instruments, as a therapeutic way of healing and for peace of mind, heart and spirit.
Empathy Records will release our debut project "Soul Of Seattle"; a compilation CD from some of Seattle’s finest Soul Artists, February 21, 2012. Though the featured artists are not signed to the Empathy label, they made great contributions in support of a dedicated Soul music label based in Seattle. The compilation features a blend of new and previously released music.
